It's kristmas knack time!



Finally it's getting warm and dry enough to get serious about our indoor/outdoor Christmas market. And we are fortunate enough to have a very workable Plan B if the weather isn't going to be simply super, so both vendors and buyers/browsers alike will be comfortable and happy on the day. If you want a more interesting, less stressful alternative to the Thorndon Fair in the first weekend in December to sort your Christmas shopping out, come to kristmas knack. A great range of well-made, original craft is going to be on sale, with our usual mix of regulars, and quite a few sellers doing their first knack market. It always means there's something new and inspiring to see, and these clever people all contribute to creating the market's great atmosphere. Just what we want to achieve!

We have some special entertainment lined up to add to the mood, and the (heated) school pool should be open for those who are keen! Our resident barista Luke will be providing fresh People's Coffee coffee, and a range of delicious food will also be available.

Come to spring knack!

spring knack is the tenth craft market to be held in Berhampore, South Wellington, and this 12 September will once again be full of beautiful, original handmade objects, often utilising recycled and/or sustainable materials. Fresh coffee and food is available, as well as live music, and we have an eftpos facility.


knack started in July 2007 as a school fundraiser, and has a lovely community feel to it. It's a great place to find well-made, interesting gifts and treats you often can't find in the shops, and supports New Zealand made, as well as Berhampore School. It's on between 9.30-1.30 in the Berhampore School hall, Britomart Street, off Adelaide Road, Berhampore.
